Evelyn G. Eller, 83, of Mt. Vernon died 12:20 p.m. Aug. 10, 2005, at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Eller was born Oct. 17, 1921, in Jefferson County to Foster and Cecil (Telford) Smith.

She married Harry T. Eller Sept. 20, 1945; he preceded her in death Oct. 27, 1998.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday in the chapel at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Everett Lemay will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Friday in the chapel at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Eller is survived by a grandson, Tom Odle of Sumner; a nephew, Ronnie Smith of Mt. Zion; a niece, Teresa Heise of Owanco; and special friends Howard and Peg Lisenby of Mt. Vernon and Donnie, Lynn and Nicholas Hayes of Mt. Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Carolyn Odle; a son-in-law, Robert Odle; three grandchildren, Sean Odle, Scott Odle and Robyn Odle; and a sister, Louise Chambliss.
