Mrs. Martha Earles, wife of H. Earles of Long Prairie, died at her home six and a half miles south of Woodlawn at 8 o'clock last night, of congestion of the stomach.

The deceased was fifty-five years of age and was one of the pioneers of the county having always resided here. The funeral will occur at 10 o'clock tomorrow.

I believe this is Martha Ann (Gilliland) Earls, born Nov. 27, 1840 died Feb. 14, 1895, wife of Hesiakiah Earls born 1834 died 1901 and buried at Slade Cemetery, Jefferson County, IL. Her gravestone has the surname spelled without the "e" on the end posted on Findagrave.
