Jennie (Butler) Draper

Jennie Butler Draper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.W. Butler was born in Tenn. 1857 and departed this life at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Richardson with whom she resided, Nov 26, 1947, aged 90 years.

She was the last of a family of 12 children.

On June 21, 1914 she was united in marriage to R.D. Draper who preceded her in death April 11th, 1935.

She was coverted in early life at the Long Prairie Baptist church, later uniting with the Christian church of Wayne City, Ill., of which she was a member at the time of her death.

"Aunt Jennie" as she was known to her many friends, was of a sunny disposition. She was very sympathetic and always ready to help those who needed help.

To know her was to love her.

She leaves to mourn their loss, four step children: Everest Draper, Predis Draper, Mrs. Reetha Hill, of Wayne City, and Mrs. Amy Hillyard of Coulterville, Ill; also 12 step grandchildren; two sister-in-laws, Mrs. R.B. Butler, and Mrs. C.L. Butler, many nephews and nieces, and other relatives and friends.

Sleep on dear one and be at rest Over on the "GoldenShore".

**Note from Sandy:
"Aunt Jennie" was actually named Martha Jane. She was a sister to my great grandfather Washington Webster Butler.. They were the children of Franklin Walker Butler (1817-1881) Lucinda Montgomery (1826-1866) from Butlers Landing, Jackson (now Clay) County, TN.
