Paul Downen Of Sesser Dies; Funeral Sunday

Paul Downen, 56, of Sesser died at 5 p.m. Friday at Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Brayfield Funeral Home in Sesser with the Rev. Euwel Gulley officiating. Burial will be at the Old Baptist Cemetery near Sesser. Friends may call at the Brayfield Funeral Home anytime.

Mr. Downen was born Feb. 4, 1910, in Perry county, the son Ernest P. and Cretta (Clampet) Downen.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Cretta Downen of Sesser; two brothers, Charles Downen of Carbondale and Leonard Dowmen of Scheller and two sisters, Evelyn Hamilton of Sesser and Clara Sheriff of Scheller.
