Irene (Williams) Dorris

Irene G. Dorris, 86, of Frazier Manor in Centralia died 11 p.m. Nov. 6, 1995, at Frazier Manor in Centralia.

She was a homemaker, formerly employed at Benson Rexall Drugs in Centralia.

Mrs. Dorris was born June 15, 1909, in Woodlawn, a daughter of Verner L. and Anna Maye (Bourland) Williams.

March 26, 1970 in Centralia, she married James M. Dorris, who preceded her in death in 1978.

Graveside services will be 11 am. Thursday at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia with the Rev. Gene Auxier officiating.

Friends may call after 5 pm Wednesday at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix.

Mrs. Dorris is survived by four stepsons, John Dorris of Belleville, Jim Dorris of Florida, Bob Dorris of Carbondale and Victor Dorris of Centralia; a daughter, Mrs. James (Karlyn June) Scott of Woodlawn; two step-daughters, Lynn Glik of California and Karen Shepela of California; three grandchildren, Paget Burge and husband Charles of Dix, Jeff Scott of Woodlawn and Bill Scott of Centralia; four great grandchildren, Scott Burge of Camp LeJeune, N.C.; Julie Martin of Dix, Larry Scott of Centralia; one great great grandchild, Alexia Page Scott; two brothers, Carl Williams of Nashville and Floyd Williams of Woodlawn; and a sister, Edna Martin of Wamac.

She was of the Baptist faith. She attended Woodlawn area schools.

Mrs. Dorris was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother, Frank Williams.
