Claude "Mike" Dorris of 1213 Shawnee died of a heart attack at 11:30 a.m. yesterday. He was 72 years, four months, and 19 days old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Pulley Chapel with the Rev. Bird Green officiating. Burial will be in New Shiloh Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Pulley Funeral Home where friends may call after 2:00 p.m. today.

Mr. Dorris was born Feb 23, 1888 in Saline county, the son of William and Hannah Elizabeth (Spurlock) Dorris.

On Oct. 29, 1943, in St. Louis, he was married to Gertie Vigna, who survives.

Other survivors include a brother, C. S. Dorris; and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Yearwood and Mrs. Nellie Roeder, all of Mt. Vernon.

Mr. Dorris was a retired employee of the Mt. Vernon car shops.
