Clarence Dobbs Of Big Lake, Texas Died At Age 63

Clarence I. Dobbs, 63, Big Lake, Texas, died 11:56 a.m. Sept. 12, 1991, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Mr. Dobbs was a painter and foreman for Electromotive Corp., a division of General Motors.

He was born April 15, 1928, in Bonnie, a son of Clarence J. and Etta (Beard) Dobbs.

Aug. 10, 1950, in Mt. Vernon, he married Jessie (Jay) Morris, who survives.

Services will be 3:30 p.m. Monday at Hughey Funeral Home with George Steward officiating. Burial will follow in South Hickory Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call after 2:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Dobbs is survived by his mother, Etta Pitchford of Mt. Vernon; one daughter, Mrs. Leo (Barbara) Lamping of Joliet; one son, John Dobbs and wife, Ginny, of Lockport; one sister, Mrs. Everett (Jewel) Lewis of Mt. Vernon; one brother, James Dobbs and wife, Oline, of Scotland, Ga.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Dobbs was an Army veteran. He was a member of First Christian Church of Joliet.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Hubert Dobbs.
