The Rev. Byford (Chuck) Denham, 73, Route 1, died at 6:22 p.m. Saturday 
in Good Samaritan Hospital.  

Mr. Denham was born in Franklin County on Jan. 7, 1909, the son of 
Burley and Lola (Duty) Denham.

On July 22, 1933, in Benton, he married Margaret Beckham who survives.

He was affiliated with the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and retired 
from Vernois Inc.  He was also a farmer.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hughey Funeral Home with 
the Rev. Bob Atchison officiating.  Burial will follow at South Hickory Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

In addition to his wife in Mt. Vernon, he is survived by two sons, Donald L. (Sonny) 
Denham of El Paso, Texas, and James R. Denham of Belleville; four daughters, Mrs. 
Wayland (Betty) Brown of Stratford, Texas, Mrs. JoEllen Campbell of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. 
Neva Gill of Fairfield and Mrs. Robert (Sandra) Kissner of Wayne City; nine grandchildren, 
eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Sharon, one brother and one sister.
