Kenneth E. Day

Kenneth Eugene Day, 67, of Waltonville, died at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at his home.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 26, at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, Benton. Burial will be in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery. Friends may call from Noon to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, to the funeral home.

Mr. Day was born February 10, 1937 in West Frankfort, the son of Clarence and Edna (Martin) Day.

He married the former Lorena Day on Nov. 7, 1958 and she survives.

He was a retired mechanic and a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Moose Lodge. He served his country as a U.S Air Force veteran during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Lorena Day of Waltonville; four sons, Randy Day, of Lake Charles, La., Terry Day of Oxford, Wis., Eddie Day of Madison, Wis., and Kenneth Day of Madison Wis.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Phyllis James, of Granite City, IL.

Mr. Day was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Debra Lynn Day; and a brother, Gerald Day.
