Mrs. Velma DALBY, 68, of Sesser, died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday in Miner's Hospital at Christopher. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Baptist Church in Sesser, of which she was a member. The body will lie in state at the Brayfield Funeral Home in Sesser where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. DALBY was born December 14, 1895, in Jefferson County, the daughter of William and Cora (MANNEN) HODGE.

She was married to Lucius Vance DALBY, who preceded her in death in 1948.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Hazel CONNER of Sesser and Mrs. Maxine HARRISON of Murphysboro; two brothers, Lester HODGE of Mt. Vernon and Guy HODGE of Kinmundy; a sister, Mrs. Opal NEWELL of Waltonville; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
