Roy Earl Crider

Roy Earl Crider Dies at Age 54; Rites Wednesday

Roy Earl Crider, of RFD 7, Mt. Vernon, died at 5:05 pm Saturday at the Marion Veterans Hospital. His age was 54 years, five months and 28 days.

Mr. Crider, a veteran of World War I, was a machinist at the Mt. Vernon Car Mfg. Co.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. Bird Green officiating.

The body will remain at Myers Chapel, where friends may call at any time after 10 am Tuesday.

Mr. Crider was born July 15, 1896 in Dahlgren, the son of William and Rado (King) Crider.

He is survived by one son, LeRoy Crider of Mt. Vernon; one daughter, Norma Bethel of Railto, California; two brothers, Everett of Mt. Vernon and Floyd of East St. Louis; and three sisters, Cora Patterson of Coshocton, Ohio, and Maud Davis and Flora Williams of East St. Louis.
