Nellie (Williams) Copple

Nellie Copple, 89, of Walnut Hill, died at 1:20 p.m. Feb. 3, 2006 at White Oak Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

She was a homemaker.

She was born at Walnut Hill on April 11, 1916 to Elsie (Dodson) and Duff Williams.

She married Raymond Copple on June 3, 1939 in Kentucky. He died July 21, 1998.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix. Bruce Hough will officiate.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix.

Burial will be at Little Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Allen Copple and wife Sherie of Walnut Hill and Rodney Copple of Tucson, Ariz.; grandchildren Tim Copple of Tucson, Bret Copple and wife Cynthia of Montana, Christina Padilla and husband Patrick of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Kevin Copple and wife Debbie of Florida, Brian Copple and wife Shari of Woodlawn, Angie Harris and husband Jeff of Tamaroa, Julie Green and husband Bill of Chicago, and Jamie Copple of Mt. Vernon; a sister, Lorene Moore of Hoyleton; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jim Copple; a sister, Louise Periman; and a brother, Eugene Williams.

Nellie Copple attended Centralia High School. She belonged to the Lively Hood Sewing Club, was a member of Little Grove Christian Church and was well known for being a pie maker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Little Grove Christian Church and will be received at the funeral home at any time.
