Paul C. Conner

Paul Conner Of Bonnie Died At Age 68

Paul C. Conner, 68, Route 1 Bonnie, died at 8:35 a.m. Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospital.

He was a farmer, a veteran of World War II and a member of the Nason Free Will Baptist Church where he was a deacon and a trustee.

Mr. Conner was born in Illinois on April 15, 1916, the son of Isaac and Addie (Dethrow) Conner.

On Nov. 8, 1934, in Jefferson County, he married Ruby Bates, who survives.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Johnston Funeral Home in Ina with the Rev. C. J. Ketterman and the Rev. Clyde Gulley officiating. Burial will follow at the Abner Cemetery in Nason.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He is also survived by two daughters, Phyllis Kash and Sandra Merda, both of Bonnie; four brothers, Raymond Conner of Sesser, Lindell Conner of Mulkeytown, Wesley Conner of Benton and Joe Conner of Chicago Heights; one sister, Mrs. James (Lucille) Houseworth of Ewing; three grandsons, Randy Kash and his wife Debbie of Scheller, Jeff Kash and his wife Tammi of Bonnie and Mark Kash of Bonnie; two granddaughters, Tonya Kash and Cindy Merda, both of Bonnie; and two great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
