CLINTON, Lillie THARP, 78, Whittington, died at 1:50 p.m. Monday, February 9, 1970 in Franklin Hospital following a long illness.

She was a lifetime resident of Franklin County.

Mrs. CLINTON was the daughter of William and Lucretia PILSON THARP.

She was a member of Whittington Baptist Church.

Her husband, Harley CLINTON, survives.

Other survivors: three sons, Dennis CLINTON of Virden, Joe CLINTON of Dix, Wendell CLINTON of Ewing; one sister, Mrs. Emma ECHOLS of McLeansboro; 13 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
