Linzy Ellis Clark

Linzy E. Clark
Dies Saturday;
Rites Tomorrow

Linzy Ellis Clark of Route 1, Mt. Vernon, Dodds Township died at 9:00 p.m. Saturday at Good Samaritan Hospital, where he had been a patient for five days. He was 64 years and 24 days of age.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethel Tabernacle, of which he was a member. The Rev. Dennis Lyeria will officiate and burial will be in Bethel Memorial cemtery. Millitary services will be in charge of the American Legion. Friends may call at Myers Chapel at any time until noon Tuesday, when the body will be removed to the church to lie in state until the funeral hour.

Mr. Clark was born March 10,1895 in Jefferson County the son of Jacob and Lottie (Shields) Clark.

On October 2, 1920 he was married in Jefferson county to Zelma Hutchison, who survives.

He was a veteran of World War I.

Besides his wife, he is survived by five sons, Harl of Fort Collins, Colo., Gerald of Cairo, Ill. Richard of Mt. Vernon and Stanley and Eddie both at home; six daughters, Mrs. Betty Cotner of Logansport, Ind., Mrs. Wyva Bullard, Mrs. Amylee Martin, Mrs. Aletta French and Mrs. Lin Rose, all of Mt. Vernon and Judy Ann at home; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Waterman of San Francisco, California, and Mrs. Amy Summers of Mt. Vernon, two brothers Abe Clark of Mt. Vernon and France Clark of San Francisco, Calif. and 19 grandchildren.
