John Arthur Clark, 77, of Whittington died suddenly at his home at 8:30 p.m. Friday. Mr. CLARK was a farmer.

His parents were Jasper and Mary CLARK.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel; one son, John A. Jr. of Whittington; two step-sons, Chas. ERWIN of Whittington and Frank NIHELLS of Bonnie; two step-daughters, Gladys MENDENHALL and Edith TAYLOR of Whittington.

Mr. CLARK was a veteran of the first World War and was a member of the Hazel Dell Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hazel Dell Church, conducted by Rev. Riley BURTON, Rev. Floyd SHELTON and Rev. McLEARN. Military burial took place at the Kirk Cemetery.
