Millard Cooper Chamberlain

Millard Cooper Chamberlain of 212 Castleton, died at 6:05 pm Saturday at Marion Veterans Hospital in Marion at the age of 47 years, 10 months, and 24 days.

Funeral services will be head at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Pulley Funeral Chapel with Rev. Buss Hart officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the American Legion.

Mr. Chamberlain was a member of the American Legion, and a veteran of World War II.

The body will lie in state at Pulley Funeral Chapel where friends may call after 4:00 pm today.

Mr. Chamberlain was born May 12, 1920, in McLeansboro, the son of Robert and Prudence (Nation) Chamberlain.

On June 11, 1939, in St. Louis, Mo., he was married to Martha Russell, who survives.

Other survivors include a son, Robert Chamberlain of Mt. Vernon; three brothers, John Clinton Chamberlain of Chester, Max Chamberlain of West Frankfort, and Richard Chamberlain of Joliet; and a sister, Mrs. Jim Hood of Centralia.

He was employed as a truck driver for Schulze and Burch Biscuit Company.
