Amanda Cebell Willmore Carroll

Former Resident Amanda Carroll Dies; Rites Here

Mrs. Amanda Cebell (sic) Carroll, a former Mt. Vernon resident and mother of Mrs. Fred Karch of this city, died at 3:30 p.m. yesterday in Kansas City, Mo.

She was 84 years ten months and nine days of age.

The body will be brought to Mt. Vernon for funeral services and burial, arriving at Myers Chapel Saturday, where friends may call after 2:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. Bird Green officiating and burial will be in Bethel cemetery.

Mrs. Carroll was born March 20, 1868 in Jefferson county, the daughter of John and Sarah Jane (Page) Willmore.

She was first married to David Servetus Crawford, who died January 28 1899. She was later married to James Carroll.

Mrs. Carroll was a member of the Oak Hill United Brethren church near Ewing.

She is survived by one son, George Carroll of Kansas City, Mo.: two daughter (sic) Mrs. Fred Karch of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Reva Brown of Kansas City: seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons and two daughters.
