C.A. Byars Dies; Services Wednesday

Charley Albert Byars, 54, of Route 7, Mt. Vernon, died Sunday at his home.

He was a salesman for the Ranmar Tire Co.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Myers Chapel with the Rev. Wayne York officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Myers Chapel after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. Byars was born April 16, 1911, in Jefferson County, the son of Ben Byars and the former Mary French.

He was married Sept. 24, 1934, in Mt. Vernon to Media Donoho, who survives.

He was a member of the Summersville Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to the widow include: One brother, Wilroy Byars, Mt. Vernon; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Molenhour, Decatur; Mrs. Doris Pierce, Bluford; and Mrs. Ruth Wilson, Mt. Vernon.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Edgar Byars.
