Burrel L. Bundy

Burrel L. Bundy, 83, Texico, died 11:20 a.m. Nov. 15, 1992, at Doctor's Nursing Home in Salem.

Mr. Bundy was a car man for Illinois Cenetral Railroad until retirement.

He was born Feb. 27, 1909, in Jefferson County, a son of James Robert and Bertha L. (Richardson) Bundy.

October 1928, in Oregon, IL., he married Ruby Evelyn Shepard, who died July 6, 1960.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hughey Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Opdyke Cemetery.

Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hughey Funeral Home.

Mr. Bundy is survived by one son, John R. Bundy and wife, Loretta, of Texico; one grandson, David E. Bundy and wife, Brenda of Salem; two great-grandchildren, Leigh Ann Bundy and Derek Bundy; three sisters, Naomi Scott and husband Virgil, and Mary Maxey and husband, Noble, all of Bluford, and Louis Costono and husband, Ralph, of Rockforrd; two brothers, Owen Bundy of Mt. Vernon and James Bundy and wife, Gwen, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bundy was a member of First Baptist Church in Salem.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Ruby Bundy; two brothers; and one sister.

**Note from Sandy:
Burrel's son, John R. Bundy first married Wanda Louise Johnson, my first cousin, once removed on Dec 20, 1950. They had one son, David Edward Bundy. John married his 2nd wife, Loretta Weaver on Sep 21, 1991.
