Bessie Black

Mrs. Bessie BLACK, of 517 South 20th Street, died at 2:25 a.m. today at Fireside Nursing Home in Centralia at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 29 days.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Pulley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Floyd STABLER officiating. Burial will be in South Hickory Hill Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Pulley Funeral Home where friends may call between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. Thursday.

Mrs. BLACK was born September 2, 1885, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Gabe G. and Azilka (BOSWELL) DALBY.

On February 24, 1907, in Elk Prairie Township, she was married to Van BLACK, who survives.

She is also survived by two sons, Fenton L. BLACK of Kelso, Wash., and William V. BLACK of Avondale, Ariz.; two daughters, Mrs. Vesta GREER of Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Wilma HEINRICH of Danville, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Gussie BOTT of Danville, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. BLACK was a member of the Southwest Church of Christ in this city.
