Joe Beckham Dies at Age 63; Funeral Tuesday

Joe Beckham of RFD 1, died at the age of 63 at his home at 8 p.m. Sunday.

The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may call after 1 p.m. today. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at South Hickory Hill Church, the Rev. J. G. Parsons conducting. Burial will be in South Hickory Hill Cemetery.

He was born Nov. 12, 1889 in Jefferson county, the son of William and Margaret (Osborn) Beckham.

In 1907 he married Erie Wilson.

He was a member of the South Hickory Hill Christian Church.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Denham; two brothers, Louis Beckham of Mt. Vernon and Fred Beckham of Osgood, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Nannie Black of Mt. Vernon and six grandchildren.
