Doris B. Beckham

Doris B. Beckham, 72, Bonnie, died at 6:10 p.m., Sept. 12, 1986, at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Mr. Beckham was born Nov. 10, 1913, in Jefferson County, the son of Frank and Lillie (Martin) Beckham.

On April 18, 1942, in Old Monore, Mo., he married Melva L Gilbert, who survives.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Elk Prairie Christian Church with David Terrelll officiating. Burial will follow in South Hickory Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Sunday and until 11:30 a.m. Monday at Hughey Funeral Home.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Glen L. Beckhan and wife Betty of Bonnie, and Carl D. Beckham and wife Susan of Carrollton, Ga.; a daughter, Mrs. Albert (Brenda) Hampton of Bonnie; two brothers, Uhlan Beckham and wife Pearl of Bonnie, and Joel Beckham and wife Margie, of Decatur; and aunt, Opal Kirkpatrick of Bonnie; an uncle, Fred Martin of Amarillo, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The deceased was a farmer and bus driver for the Waltonville School District for 13 years. He also served with the Agriculture Stabilization Conservation Service Office in Jefferson County and the South Hickory Hill Cemetery Board for many years. Mr. Beckham was also a member of Elk Prairie Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Opal Frick.

Memorials may be made to the Elk Prairie Christian Church and will be accepted at Hughey Funeral Home.
