Blanche E. Beal

Blanche Beal, 75, Route 1, Dix, died at 2:25 p.m. Sunday in Good Samaritan Hospital.

She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Dix.

Mrs. Beal was born Dec.11,1908 in Ripley County, Mo., the daughter of Herbert and Maud (Cunningham) Elliott who preceded her in death.

On Sept. 28, 1929 in Detroit Mich., she married O.J. Thel Beal, who survives.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Beal officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by six sons, Pete of Salem, Clyde and Clifford of Mt. Vernon, Lawrence of Hickory Hills, Ronald of Lockport and Paul of Bonnie; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Ada) Standerfer of Mt. Vernon; four brothers, Jim and Emerald Elliott of Dix, Ivan Elliott of Modesto, Calif. and Clarence Elliott of Vancouver, Wash.; two sisters, Bernice Dawes and Alice Beasley, both of Naylor, Mo.; 17 grandchildren, including Dale and Marvin Beal of Dix, who were raised in her home; eight step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and six step-great-grandchildren.

She was proceded in death by three brothers Bill, Leslie and Franklin Elliott.
