Michael Harry Bartolomucci

Michael Harry Bartolomucci, 60 of Bloomington, Indiana, formerly of Mount Vernon, Illinois, went to be with the Lord at 2:31 A.M. Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Marion, Indiana.

He was born on Friday, March 11, 1949 in Mount Vernon, Illinois, a son to the late Henry & Lucille (Ramsey) Bartolomucci.

Michael played in the band while in high school, was a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, was a member of First Church of God in Bloomfield, Indiana and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). He was raised on a farm and loved the country, fishing, horseback riding, deer hunting and cooking.

His surviving family members include three Brothers: David Bartolomucci and wife Nellie, Abe Bartolomucci and Bill Bartolomucci and wife Debbie all of Mount Vernon, Illinois; two Sisters: Carolyn Pogue and husband Harry of Altamont, Illinois and Shirley McClaren and husband Raymond of Bloomington, Illinois; Nieces and Nephews: Cassia & Carey Hammer of Aurora, Illinois, Dustin Pogue of Casselbury, Florida, Kathie McClaren, Jason McClaren (and special friend Abby Knight) of Bloomington, Indiana, Alex Bartolomucci of Nashville, Illinois, Elizabeth & Bob Hughes of Hillsboro, Oregon, Ben Bartolomucci of Hazelwood, Missouri and Amy Bartolomucci of Jefferson City, Missouri; three Great Nephews: Nathaniel and Samuel Hammer of Aurora, Illinois and Trey McClaren of Bloomington, Indiana and Step Nephew and Family: Kristopher Williams (wife Audie) and daughters Annalise and Kathryn all of Champaign, Illinois. Several Aunts and Uncles also survive.

His parents, grandparents and several aunts and uncles preceded him in death

Funeral Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois MINISTER: Mr. Randy Sells

VISITATION:
5 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, August 7, 2009 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois

INTERMENT:
St. Mary Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Members of Mount Vernon American Legion Post #141 will conduct Full Military Honors at the cemetery
