Ronald James Bain

Ronald James Bain, 60, of Clinton, Arkansas, formerly of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away at 12:42 A.M. on Friday, April 17, 2009 at Ozark Health Medical Center in Clinton, Arkansas.

He was born on January 19, 1949 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois the son of Arthur Raleigh and Mary Alice (Goffinett) Bain. Ronald was a diesel engineer for Elgin Joliet & Eastern Railway and later was an over the road truck driver. He enjoyed motorcycles, especially Harley Davidsons and was Catholic by faith.

Surviving family members include his Mother: Mary Alice Bain of Clinton, Arkansas; Brother: Orlie W. "Bill" Latham and wife Rebecca of Mokena, Illinois; Sister: Alice Arline Burns and husband Bill of Clinton, Arkansas; Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

His father and one brother: Larry Arthur Bain preceded him in death.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Father John Iffert will officiate. Iinterment St. Mary Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, April 20, 2009 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. For those who wish, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, Illinois 62864.
