Rites March 5th for Wm. S. Allen

Funeral Services for William Sherwood Allen who died at 12:25 p.m. Saturday at the home of his niece, Mrs. Glen Perkins in Bluford will be held Sunday, March 5, at the Hopewell Methodist Church at 2 p.m.

Mr. Allen was 75 years of age and spent his entire life in Jefferson County.

He was the son of Burton and Catherine (Piercy) Allen, and was married to Mary C. Johnson, January 2, 1902 who died January 9, 1941.

Mr. Allen professed his faith in Christ several years ago and joined the Hopewell Methodist Church.

One brother, Anderson Allen of Centralia survives.

The body will remain at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix until the funeral hour.
