Bonnie M. Allen, 68, of Bonnie went to be with our Lord and savior at 8:52 a.m. Nov. 4, 2004, at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

She was born Dec. 5, 1935, in Ina to Leo and Leota (Curry) Presley.

She married Jesse W. Allen March 29, 1952 in Pocahontas, Ark.

Mrs. Allen was an active member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. She was a long-standing member of the women's auxiliary.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her husband, Jesse Allen of Bonnie; a son, Leon Allen and wife Melana of Mt. Vernon; a daughter, Kathie McCowen and husband David of Waltonville; three grandsons, Chad Allen and girlfriend Stephanie, Stan McCowen and wife Timesha and Bryan McCowen, all of Waltonville; and four great-grandchildren, Nathan and Kelsey Allen os Sesser and Jesse and Jaice McCowen of Waltonville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at First Free Will Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, with the Revs. Mike Gillock and Rodney Mellott officiating.

Burial will be in Abner Cemetery in Nason. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at First Free Will Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon.
