Daughters of the American Revolution

Jefferson County has a thriving DAR chapter, Old Goshen Trail, in Mt. Vernon, IL.
If you are interested in joining the chapter, there are people that can help you with documenting your ancestry back to a Revolutionary War Patriot.

The chapter website is: https://www.ildar.org/chapters/oldgoshentrail/

This is a list obtained through the Ancestry.com website of the The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Lineage books.

Ella Dillingham Taylor (second on the list) was my gr-gr-aunt and raised my grandfather in East St. Louis. I was actually looking for Dillinghams (also of Mt. Vernon) as I knew Vachel Dillingham, my 4g-grandfather also served in the Revolutionary War. That would make Ella and her sister Dora (my great grandmother) double qualified for the DAR. :-) Anyway, I thought it might make a good addition to the Jeff County website since both the Paces and the Dillinghams are local. Use it as you wish.
