This is the Old Union Cemetery information that Linda Short was working on when she passed away in 2010. Since I had helped her gather information, I made an attempt to continue and finish this work but found that it is not possible for me to work from her notes. Joe Ashbrook and I concluded that it would be best to leave it as her unfinished work and put in the file at the Jefferson County Historical Society.

I found no "Balm" in any census but the Rahm family was prominent in early
Mt. Vernon and connected to the Kirbys.]
