Bald Hill Twp.

     

This cemetery has also been known as Immanuel Chapel and possibly Central Church Cemetery.

The first church was called the Bald Hill Methodist Episcopal Church, a1so called Immanuel Chapel and was located near the north line of the township.

Pitchford, John - m, w, stillborn, b. Jefferson Co., IL. Died in Bald Hill Twp., supposed to have been dead for several days as reported by father. Buried Immanuel Chapel Cemetery October 12, 1902. Undertaker J. D. Norris, Waltonville, IL; J. W. Jeffries, M.D.

John A. Dasher has a marked grave his info from the Jefferson County death register below:

From the Death Register:
Dasher, John Alexander m, w, age 76y7m17d, b. Pennsylvania, lived in Illinois 40 yrs., farmer. Died Oct. 21, 1908, 7:30 a.m. in Bald Hill Twp. of chronic nephsitis complicated by general dropsy. Buried Immanuel Chapel Oct. 22. Undertaker Barrett, Ashley, IL J.W. Jefferson, Waltonville.

Also from the death records Florence Laur is listed as being buried at Central Church Cemetery but she is in Bald Hill Cemetery with marker so I have added Central Church Cemetery as another possible name for this cemetery.
