Lloyd Bundy was the son of James Wesley Bundy and Eliza (Green) Bundy. He was raised at Bluford, IL, along with five sisters and four brothers. He entered the U.S. Army during World War I and returned to Mt. Vernon afterward. Lloyd was wounded in action during the war and received the Purple Heart. He lived with his mother at 300 Caborn Avenue until he married Drusie Webb in 1923.

Drusie Bundy was the daughter of Joe Webb and Florence (Harvey) Webb, whose home was at Woodlawn, Ill. Drusie graduated from Mt. Vernon Township High School in 1922. Lloyd and Drusie Bundy made their home and raised their family at 300 Caborn. The Lloyd Bundys raised three children, two boys and one girl;

1. James Webb Bundy,
2. Joe Wesley Bundy and
3. Patsy Joan.

James and Joe served in the army during World War II. James was a corporal in the medical corps serv­ing in England and Joe was a sergeant in the quartermaster serving in the Philippines. James is married to the former Lois Tucker and they have three children, Larry, Carol, and Carl. Joe is married to the former Lois Todd and they have two children, Jayne and Steve. Pat married Jim Estes and they have one child, Brian.

Lloyd Bundy died in 1954 at the age of 60 at the Veterans Hospital in Marion, IL. He is buried at the Mount Olive Cemetery, east of Bluford, IL. His widow Drusie, along with the three children James, Joe, and Pat, still reside in Mt. Vernon with their families.
